Dismissing previous reports that Corteiz’s next Nike release would introduce a fourth collaborative Air Max 95, founder Clint has officially revealed the real star of the show from his brand’s follow-up Swoosh project, resurrecting the Air Trainer Huarache, alongside thematically appropriate apparel.

In mid October, leaked images of a fourth Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 surfaced (pictured above), leading fans to believe that the earlier Air Trainer Huarache leak from February was bogus…

Clearing up any confusion, Corteiz has taken to Instagram to showcase the starring silhouette, alongside a colour-matched tracksuit and football-inspired jersey.

The Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache is undoubtedly a “deep cut”, as it highlights a bygone silhouette that hasn’t experienced prominence since the late 90’s to early 2000’s - the era many regard as the golden age for techy sportswear that clearly influences the majority of Corteiz’s regular outputs.

The high-top shape, velcro strap and ankle support cement the Air Trainer variant as one of the most utilitarian Huarache’s to ever release and Corteiz opts for a clean “flat pewter” colourway to highlight the design’s details, applying its very own Alcatraz logo on the left strap, alongside stitched detailing and camouflage underlays, included as reference to Corteiz’s sought-after trio of Air Max 95s.

Aside from the officially teased “flat pewter” colourway, it is rumoured that black and white versions will release to complete the pack, following suit from Corteiz & Nike’s three-peat earlier this year.
