As we approach the end of what has been one of the consensus better seasons in recent Supreme history, a rather candid public teaser has emerged, announcing an upcoming collaboration between Supreme and UK Streetwear brand Corteiz.
Despite only being around since 2017, Corteiz and its founder Clint have quickly rose in popularity to the top of the European streetwear scene and broke America earlier this year, when the Corteiz crew visited New York as part of the world tour for its Nike Air Max 95 collaboration - causing havoc on the streets as fans sprinted across the Big Apple for a mere chance at snagging the coveted sneakers.
Clint’s trip to NYC was clearly a success, as only months later, he appeared in THEM magazine’s editorial for Supreme’s Fall/ Winter ‘23 season decked out in head to toe ‘Preme garb, fanning the flames of a potential future partnership.
On display at Shepard’s Bush Market in London, the red billboard shows Corteiz’s Alcatraz branding, remixed to read “Supreme Rules The World”. The approach is testimony to the guerrilla marketing Corteiz has exhibited in its many public goose chases and Nike collaboration announcement, when a similar graphic was projected onto the front of Nike’s London Flagship store.
With both brands’ track records in mind, we could expect to see this very logo appearing on tees, tracksuits and cargo pants. Stay tuned for more details.
