Simon Porte Jacquemus is the titular hero in the storied career of Jacquemus, who themselves are championing women’s fashion with the moral backing of the legendary Rei Kawakubo - founder of Comme des Garçons. Since their inception in 2009, Jacquemus has garnered critical acclaim from the likes of LVMH and ELLE, winning multiple design awards from the authorities on women’s fashion.

Much like his mentor, working with Nike has always been a part of Jacquemus’ destiny - in a statement, he revealed the inspiration behind the upcoming collaboration - “For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way. I have always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the ’90s. Having this imagery in mind, we designed women’s athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors - it was important for the collection to be accessible for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance.”

Jacquemus also revealed that he will be focusing his footwear efforts on Nike’s Terra Humara, an icon of Nike’s outdoor exploits which saw a resurgence in 2017, with one of the cleaner Supreme x Nike collabs in recent memory.
The collection is slated to drop on June 28th, with campaign imagery yet to be revealed - stay tuned for more information.
