Despite being one of the consensus better Supreme seasons to hit in recent years, the brand’s FW23 lookbook was noticeably lacking on the collaboration front but if this latest rumour is anything to go by, it looks like Tremaine Emory is lining us up for a big one…

Courtesy of @dropsbyjay, it is reported that we can expect a collaboration between Supreme and the estate of late rapper MF DOOM.
MF Doom, or Daniel Dumile is a cult rap icon who is best known for masterful lyricism on the mic and silver mask that hid his true identity, also embodying different personas over his illustrious career such as the early Victor Vaughn and King Geedorah, alongside participation in collaborative projects with the likes of Madlib and Ghostface Killah.
DOOM’s overall artistic style, in both image and delivery was heavily influenced by comic books and most notably the villainous Dr. Doom - who Dumile borrowed both his primary moniker and metal mask from, often being cited as the ‘underground villain of the rap game’.
The rapper’s ties to streetwear are short yet strong, as back in 2007, DOOM collaborated with Nike SB on his very own pair of Dunk Highs.

After the artist’s passing in 2021, the game has continuously mourned the loss of the unique steez that DOOM possessed and now Supreme is rumoured to be releasing a fully fledged collection that honours DOOM as part of its FW23 season.

Taking into account DOOM’s background and the fact we’ve already seen this season’s photo tee, we can possibly expect comic book-influenced styles across tops, trousers and accessories - although fans of DOOM would be equally satisfied with garments simply bearing the rapper’s likeness.
