As cult film City of God sees a 21st anniversary re-release, Clown Skateboards have prepared a capsule collection releasing this month inspired by the movie, with proceeds benefitting CDD Skate Arte, a project supporting young people in Brazil.
Releasing in collaboration with the original distributors of City of God, the collection of specially designed skateboards features colourful graphics inspired by the four-time Oscar-nominated movie which depicts life in the poverty-stricken favelas of Rio de Janeiro in the 1970s.
The deck collection features designs including:

REEFEEMER shape – over popsicle, one colour, one size 8.65

The CDD SKATE ARTE project originated in 2018 in the face of military intervention in Rio de Janeiro.

The project has since successfully renovated a skate park in the favela, collected skateboards for classes and promoted sporting and cultural events, workshops and lectures for young people in the area.
This City of God fundraising capsule has come together between Clown Skateboard's community initiative IN Action, Damian Platt, and Rio De Janeiro skate outfit Ademafia with graphic design by AllcityX to help fund ongoing efforts to provide resources and support in the local area.
