The dust, or satin has barely settled since CLOT’s last Nike Dunk Low collaboration sold out with great haste and Edison Chen is already set to drop another take on the classic Swoosh silhouette, carrying on the customisable ethos of the previous release, although with a cork base and interchangeable swooshes.
The release also commemorates Clot’s 20th anniversary, drawing inspiration from founder Edison Chen’s early days of using cork panels as mood boards. According to sneaker lore, the concept of a Cork Dunk was originally intended for CLOT's 10th anniversary but never came to fruition. Ten years later, Chen is finally able to revisit the idea for CLOT's 20th anniversary, incorporating style modifications for 2023.
The 20th-anniversary CLOT x Nike Cork Dunk Low boasts a cork-inspired tonal colorway, cream-coloured midsole and dark brown outsole and lining. Special highlights include the backtab, which flips up to reveal “2003” in Chinese on the left shoe and 2023 on the right in tribute to CLOT's twenty-year milestone.
The shoe comes with three lace options of white, black/ red jacquard and turquoise, with more interchangeability on the five Swooshes that come in snakeskin, rose gold, reflective, bordeaux velour, and turquoise.
