The concept of everyday streetwear brands being tapped by luxe fashion imprints to impose their high end agenda upon is something of a recent phenomenon. Ever since that fateful Supreme x Louis Vuitton collab, labels like Gucci and Prada have teamed up with Adidas, The North Face and even Dickies, with the goal of keeping the brands alive with fresh takes on their usual format in a real life embodiment of the infamous Steve Buscemi “hello fellow kids” meme.

Love them or hate them, high end streetwear collabs are here to stay, and the next firm to throw their mohair hat in the ring is Marni - who are linking up with Carhartt to submit a highly eccentric example of workwear.
For the capsule, Marni have expressed their Italianate DNA through a loud floral print, which takes centre stage across heavy Work in Progress staples, such as the work shirt, active jacket and canvas trouser.
Elsewhere, Marni have donated their platform soled, slip-on sneakers for the festivities, which again employ the pop art stylings, with the respected Carhartt seal of approval on the tongue and Marni’s rubber stamp across the heel.

Although an official release date is yet to be publicised, more details are set to arrive in the coming weeks.
