Part way through Supreme’s Fall Winter 23 season, the brand this week present a substantial new collaboration with Japanese clothing and toy brand Bounty Hunter, releasing this week.
Established in Tokyo by Hikaru Iwanaga in 1995, the brand was born out of Iwanaga's fascination for Western toys and pop culture, having been exposed to franchises including G.I. Joe, Disney, Frankenberry and Star Wars.

After attending Tokyo Bunka Fashion College - and befriending UNDERCOVER’s Jun Takahashi - Iwanaga became immersed in the Ura-Hara scene, a small network of Harajuku backstreets that became an epicenter of Toyko’s youth movement of the 1990s.
The influence of the 90s Ura-Hara scene remains pervasive, giving rise to well established creative brands including A Bathing Ape, NEIGHBORHOOD and WTAPS.
Bounty Hunter's KID HUNTER and SKULL-KUN characters were developed as a response to the American figures of Iwanaga's youth, with an irreverent edge which made them highly sought after and collectible to this day.
The collection features an extensive clothing selection: a Varsity Jacket, Bomber Jacket, Sweater, L/S Shirt, Jersey, Thermal, Hooded Sweatshirt, Jean and two t-Shirts plus a 5-Panel and Beanie hat.
Accessories include a furry creature inspired backpack, Supreme-emblazoned skull ring and custom SKULL-KUN Figure.
Another key highlight from the week is the Miyabi Birchwood Santoku knife, made exclusively for Supreme. Handmade in Japan, the 7" blade is crafted from SG2 micro-carbide powder steel core, coated with 100 layers of thin steel to form a hard but flexible blade with a sharp ice-hardened edge.
The Supreme x Bounty Hunter collection releases along with Week 6 of the Supreme Fall Winter 2023 season in stores and online this Thursday 28th September. Available in Japan and South Korea from Saturday 30th September.
