Bape Parodies Patek Philippe with Bapex Type 10 Timepiece
January 22, 2024
After years of skating around parody laws by releasing its own range of Rolex-inspired watches, Bape has unveiled a new model that shifts from one icon of the horology world to another, by introducing its own version of the Patek Philippe Nautilus, titled the Bapex Type 10.
Not unlike the Rolex Submariner or GMT Master II that Bape has homaged on numerous occasions, the Patek Philippe Nautilus is an iconic watch in its own right and also similar to many Rolex models, is almost impossible to obtain at retail; so in typical Bape fashion, the brand has not only made the design more accessible, but also transformed the high-end, highly coveted timepiece into a colourful, daily driver with fun design additions.
Debuting in two colour schemes, each watch is built from steel and equipped with an integrated bracelet and fixed bezel engraved with Bape’s ABC camo pattern. Functions include standard hour and minute hands, alongside a date wheel that are all powered by a 21-jewel automatic movement.

The “Bapex” title is rendered in a classical font on the dial and beneath the wordmark, Bape reinforces its mantra of “Ape shall never kill ape”.

Retailing at $701 USD, the Bapex Type 10 is available now, from the brand’s webstore.
