From a 1 of 1 sample pair of Nike Air Yeezy 1s worn by Kanye West on stage to Travis Scott’s collaboration with Playstation that produced 24 pairs of a branded Dunk Low, the rare sneaker market is booming. Kicks continue to peek through as they remind us of the meaning of true luxury. Now, another sneaker has emerged that pushes forward the importance of music in sneaker culture.

Set at a mere price point of $50,000 USD, a limited edition pair of Eminem’s Shady Records x Nike Air Max 97s have emerged on The RealReal’s marketplace.

Initially released in 2006, only eight pairs were crafted by Nike and auctioned off to charity.

The collectible kicks don a brown, tan, blue and white layered construction as the hues run along with the shoe’s wavy panels. Orange hits are set at the medials and accompanied by a grey Nike Swoosh beside a corduroy tongue and branded pull tabs.

Text is key on this notable pair as the toe box reads “D-12 and Big Proof 4 ever!”, while Shady Records branding and Eminem's autograph at the mudguard bring the offering to a close.

The rare sneakers are unwearable due to age but make for a fine collector's item if you have the dough to spare.
