After revealing a winter ready boot collab with New Balance, Aimé Leon Dore is doubling down on the element worthy side of their brand through a new collection with fellow countrymen Woolrich.

Through their numerous collaborative outings, Aimé Leon Dore and Woolrich have perfectly captured the modern sartorial essence that is intertwined within each brand’s DNA. Consistently delivering on woollen knits and hardy outerwear has seen the capsules skyrocket to the top of the ever-growing list of solid ALD collabs.

Their latest venture sees the duo travel back into the wilderness, to present an outdoor-centred collection that is equal parts gorp and class.
Showing that not every jacket has to be built from GORE-TEX, the big-pocketed, often nylon offerings that ALD and Woolrich have become famous for go heavy on the utilitarian aesthetic, providing great functionality for their intended activities. This series adopts a largely muted palette, with bright yellows and unconventional camos hitting home the wintery feel.
Uniform layering is an ethos of which both brands abide by. As ever, the well-shot campaign shows high levels of outfit-coordination, that like the vistas they are intended for, flow with ease. The Aimé Leon Dore formula is simple - mix materials over straight-cut pants, knitted jumpers, big jackets and twill caps - maybe the odd scarf, with handy accessories like the multi-pocketed tote bag and duffle never going amiss.
Protruding from the toned-down coziness of knits and nylon, an abstract camo print appears on a number of the pieces, adding to the urban jungle aesthetic oozing from the collection.
