The distinguished team at Aimé Leon Dore don’t mess around when it comes to collaborations…
Woolrich, Drake’s and New Balance are all loyal compatriots of the New York brand and continuously link up for co-capsules that evoke “old world” feelings through unique aesthetics and timeless quality.
While all of the above waste no time in selling out when drop date rolls around, the sentiment of pure craftsmanship and ageless design is no better defined than at Porsche.
The Swabian automobile-extraordinaries have long been pursuing the mission of creating the perfect driving machine and as a company, only get better with age and wisdom - only recently branching out into the world of collaboration, working with Rimowa and for the third time, Aimé Leon Dore.
Although the latest ALD x Porsche collection is largely comprised of refined clothing that tastefully co-signs both brands, the capsule as a whole is centred around a Teddy Santis-fixed Porsche 356 that is subtly adorned with ALD badges on the rear and interior with white-wall tires and a sleek, midnight-blue paint job to sign off the luxury vintage vehicle that will be on display at ALD’s renovated 224 Mulberry Street, NYC Outpost.
The sheer beauty of the Aimé 356 can be experienced vicariously through any one of the fifteen items featured in the capsule, with each of the navy-coloured pieces sporting chain-stitched branding and golden badges that mirror the elegance of the inspirational car. Highlights include the Team jacket, Tote bag and Cardigan, with the first two bearing leather textiles and embroidered detailing.
The Aimé Leon Dore x Porsche apparel collection will release alongside the physical unveiling of the 356 - in-store at ALD’s New York and London Flagships, also dropping via their on Friday, May 5th.
