Another day, another Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance collaboration.

At this point, the ongoing love affair between Boston’s own and ALD is a tale that everyone is familiar with. Whether it’s a 991, 1300, or in this case, a 550, the unspoken class that Teddy Santis can bring to a suede-top shoe is unmatched.
So far, all of Aimé Leon Dore’s 550’s have revolved around clean, white leather silhouettes, injected with a collegiate flash of red or blue. This time, Aimé Leon Dore have opted for suede on at least one of two silhouettes that are set to drop this week.
The “Grey” colourway is covered with hairy pig suede and leather and mesh underlays, with a spot of blue on the co-branded tongue tag.
The “White” version is more in tune with previous releases, spreading eggshell white leather over the top panels, with hints of grey suede on the heel portion and “N” logo. No colourful branding this time, instead the silhouette remains true to its pale appearance - a must-have replacement for those Air Force 1's that are on their last legs as we approach Christmas.
