Information has just leaked surrounding an upcoming collaboration between adidas and Korn.

Joining the ranks of The Grinch, Pusha T and M&M’s, adidas is adding nu-metal band Korn to its collaborative rolodex, working with the 90’s group on a full-blown capsule of sneakers and apparel that will strike a chord with millennials looking to recapture the rebellious spirit that Korn’s music perpetuated back in its heyday.

Conceived in 1993, Korn is a band emanating from California that is widely credited as the “founding fathers” of the nu-metal genre and have also been associated with adidas since the beginning, not only through sporting the trefoil’s garments but also by releasing cult track “A.D.I.D.A.S” (all day I think about sex).

Clothing will likely use the backwards “R” Korn insignia on classic three-stripe cuts, potentially going further to display album covers from the band’s discography, evoking feelings of nostalgia in Kornhead’s who’ve been craving some adidas-produced heavy metal gear.

Foot-wise, the collab seemingly works with the grungy, vulcanised Campus 00s and Supermodified models. Both samples feature thick three-stripes and Korn styled lettering over the colour-blocked silhouettes, complete with insoles depicting the “Life is Peachy” cover artwork.

Expect the Korn x adidas collection to release later this year.
