Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R "Rosewater" & “Medusa Azul” Global Release Date
July 9, 2024
The highly anticipated follow-up to Action Bronson's debut, double-feature collaboration with New Balance is finally here.

One of the more surprise hits of sneaker synergy to crop up in 2023 was Action Bronson’s duo of New Balance 990v6s.
</br>
The partnership made perfect sense due to Bronson’s blue collar background and eccentric approach to life, that when paired with NB’s unmatched sneaker craftsmanship, instantly propelled the sixth generation 990 silhouette to cult status through two equally colourful renditions.
Since then, Action has appeared in numerous visual campaigns for New Balance and after a long road of Instagram teasers, followed by a limited online drop, two of the three collaborative 1906r colourways designed by Dr. Baklava will finally see a wider release.
For the soft-hued “Rosewater” pair, Action has stripped back a portion of the 1906r’s exoskeleton to project light mesh with translucent, reflective detailing that's all complimented by a fuchsia heel cage and matching tongues, finished with custom tags and sunset orange midsoles.

According to Action, this colourway is one for the “true sneakerheads” and is inspired by women’s sport shoes of old.
Next up is the “Medusa Azul”, a colourway reminiscent of Action’s initial ”Lapis Lazuli” 990v6. The uppers favour various shades of blue and indigo, with a workwear-themed gum outsole and flashes of orange on the mid-section. It’s also worth noting that the non-mesh upper portions are fully reflective.

Both colourways come standard with specially-branded swing tags and billboard-esque tongue branding, with each pair sporting the fan-favourite “boot” laces that have become thematic of an Action Bronson x New Balance collab.

The Action Bronson x New Balance 1906r "Rosewater" and ”Medusa Azul” will both be available on Newbalance.com this Friday, July 12th.
