AAPE by A Bathing Ape Taps into Skate and Varsity Culture for FW23

Bape’s youth-facing diffusion line AAPE by A Bathing Ape has officially released its 2023 Fall Winter menswear collection. Drawing on visual references from the worlds of skate, hip-hop and collegiate culture with an eye on the future, the AAPE FW23 collection abounds with graphic fleeces and embossed denim plus their own baseball inspired AAPE Galaxy shoe.

The collection is organised around four main visual themes. The "AAPE HIP-HOP" pieces incorporate unique patterns and dying techniques such as Spray Camo, tie dying and heavy wash effects in the spirit of individuality and creativity.

The "AAPE COLLEGE" range is manifested on a variety of varsity inspired styles, including key pieces such as baseball jackets, camouflage tracksuits, sweatpants, and sweaters that all interpret the retro essence reminiscent of team uniforms and college sports.

Exploring more innovative and futuristic designs is the "AAPE TEAM" range, making over classic sportswear and workwear styles with their own signature flair including a gradient ape face camouflage pattern and infrared light-inspired tones.

The self explanatory "AAPE SKATE" collection sees their own take on durable skate staples including textured camouflage denim and hooded plaid jackets, plus the graphic t-shirts key to any skate-friendly wardrobe.

Topping off the "AAPE SKATE" collection is another footwear exclusive, the baseball-inspired AAPE Galaxy.

The shoe updates the classic baseball silhouette with a cool and comfortable canvas upper with contrast stitching throughout. The usual rubber sole is given a city twist with stylish ribbing encasing the heel and toe, with "AAPE NOW" printed text branded along the midsole.
