Jjjjound has now divulged the details of his next collaboration with adidas, confirming that the master minimalist will tackle the Samba for the third time in as many months.
Deviating from the “Made in Germany” controversy surrounding Jjjjound x adidas’ debut collaboration in March, the latest project also switches things up on the textile front, this time opting for nappy tobacco suede to dress the uppers, with debossed detailing on the tongue and Jjjjound’s moniker stamped on the outer side, finished in adidas’ iconic gold foil lettering.
Arriving in a timely manner for the 2024 UEFA Euro Cup, Jjjjound also revealed that the Samba will be accompanied by a concise offering of apparel, which is expertly modelled by the ”Special One” himself Jose Mourinho.

Featured in the collection, is a black track top and pants set that’s joined by a white repeat three stripe jersey, shoulder bag and branded “Practice” football. Each piece of apparel features tonal embroidered branding and three stripes travelling down the arms or legs.

Moodboard-turned lifestyle brand Jjjjound has teased a sequel to its debut collaboration with adidas, making a somewhat speedy turnaround from the duo’s initial sell-out affair in March to release an updated, hairy suede iteration of the adidas Samba.
Despite questions being raised surrounding the provenance of Jjjjound’s previous outing with adidas, the double-feature Samba pack was a sell-out hit and buyers were seemingly satisfied with the higher level of quality that was applied to the iconic terrace silhouette.

Judging from the sparse imagery available, it’s unclear whether Jjjjound’s hairy suede Samba will continue the “made in Germany” motive, although we can rest assured knowing the gold foil lettering will remain as the only branding notes apparent on the sandy brown design.

Sources indicate the Jjjjound x adidas Samba will release towards the end of June.
