This year, we saw Tom Sachs and Nike reunite for an antithetical shoe release that proposed to go against hype culture, delivering a duo of General Purpose shoes, whose function was to be nothing more than an everyday, boring beater.

Whether it was undersight on the production end or greed from resellers, the General Purpose failed in its task to be widely accessible, selling out everywhere. Although after-market prices have seemingly settled, it proved the point that no matter what the product, resellers will find a way to ruin everything.
Putting sneaker ethics aside, Tom Sachs’ mission from the beginning was to make the silhouette a staple of Nike’s outputs, teasing a plethora of yet-to-be released colourways over the past few months.
The latest design to rear its head focuses on the classic combination of yellow and green, set against clean white and bone coloured panelling. Almost a callback to Nike’s hometeam the Oregon Ducks, a bird coloured swoosh contrasts against the dark forest heel section, pull tabs and laces.

Currently, no release date has been reported for the next colourway of the NikeCraft General Purpose shoe.
