Now firmly settled in to their joint identity as trusted deliverers of functional sportswear imbued with cutting edge, high-fashion codes, Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela have revealed a new capsule for Autumn Winter 25.

Arguably one of their cleanest collaborations to date, the latest effort from MM6 and Salomon is nothing short of wearable. Building on the function-first DNA ingrained in Salomon’s alpine-tested bones, MM6 lends its unique ability to maximise minimalism across five apparel pieces, one backpack, and two footwear models — including two opposing takes on the ACS Pro and three colourways of a collaboration-exclusive, retooled XT-6, aptly dubbed the “XT-MM6”.

The brutalist ACS Pro, which has been a major player for Salomon since returning in 2022, appears in full-white and energy-filled black & yellow colourways, each updated with MM6 branding placements along the tongue strip and tip.

Akin to how MM6 was able to reconfigure the XT-4 into its own, unique vision of a mule, the XT-MM6 treads a similar path — showcasing a streamlined reconstruction of the iconic XT-6 model, presented in three colourways that play to the low-key tendencies of Margiela while staying true to the high-visibility nature of Salomon’s trail-ready products.

Running in contrast to some of the louder design features evident in the footwear portion, MM6’s interpretation of purpose-built Salomon winter gear follows the monochromatic commandments often cited by mainline Margiela, resulting in “deep black” and “abbey stone” versions of staple outdoor companions, suited to align with the brands’ shared propensity for seamless duality.

MM6 and Salomon’s latest injection of apparel reworks the Salomon hallmark Motomesh fabric into expertly-proportioned crewnecks and wide-leg joggers, which join High-Neck fleece pullovers as the anchors of the brands’ modular styling quota for Autumn Winter 25.

A tangible representation of Salomon and MM6’s approach to intentional duality is the Reversible Insulated Jacket, which switches between a grid-quilted, subtly-branded face and a textured nylon inverse, signed off with stacked rear branding and three front pockets.

Complete with MM6’s numeric tag printed on the arm and the sub-label’s signature horizontal white stitch-line at the rear neckline, the Waterproof Down Parka rules over the capsule with its down-filled, fully waterproof shell face and vintage-inspired, double-slider pockets.

The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon AW25 capsule drops this Thursday, October 16 via MM6 and Salomon’s online stores and select retailers across the globe.
