Jjjjound has now divulged the full release details for his sophomore project with ASICS, delivering two clean takes on the brand’s GT-2160 model rooted in 2010s running shoe steeze.
Dropping in white/ black and black/ silver colourways, each pair will arrive in custom packaging with an extra pair of two-tone laces, with minimalistic Jjjjound branding dotted throughout and carbon fibre panelling used to evoke the kinetic, sporty influence that drives ASICS’ products.

Jjjjound, the moodboard-turned-lifestyle firm that’s collaborated with almost every current brand imaginable, has unveiled its next mainstream partnership, teaming up with ASICS to Jjjjound-ify the GT-2160 model.
</br>
Pushing the same y2k-incarnate agenda from Jjjjound’s previous, debut ASICS collaboration, which centred around a clean delivery of Gel-Kayano 14s, the duo’s latest effort doesn’t shy away from calling back to 2000s running shoe chic for inspiration.

ASICS’ GT-2160 is a relatively new model from the brand, introduced just last year as a breath of fresh air to ASICS’ GT-2000 range, playing a starring role in collabs with Kith and Dime, not to mention the litany of masterful, in-house designs courtesy of Kiko Kostadinov and co. that have ensued in recent months.
Jjjjound’s approach to the GT-2160 is simple: one black, one white and minimal branding.

Of course, there’s sly additions of carbon fibre & reflective panelling and neon highlights on the white/ grey pair but everything else is a no-frills approach to footwear - something that keeps Jjjjound fans coming back with every minimalist release.

Expect a release date for the latest Jjjjound x ASICS Gt-2160 collaboration to be publicised soon.
