First teased last month by Lil’ Yachty, Cactus Plant Flea Market has just shock-revealed its latest Nike collaboration, officially unveiling all three colourways of the Nike x CPFM Dunk Low “Swamp Sponge”.
Known for some of the more outlandish Nike collaborations in the modern era, Cynthia Lu has once again managed to make one of Nike’s most globally-recognised silhouettes unrecognisable, this time deploying a hodgepodge of upper textiles onto plumped-up versions of the Nike Dunk Low, creating the beautiful monster that is the ”Swamp Sponge”.
Despite only one of the three versions displaying uniformity across its upper colourings, each of the Swamp Sponge Dunks follow the same pattern of applying calculatedly chaotic material choices to the silhouette’s exposed foam panels and enlarged lateral swooshes, using corduroy, chenille, shaggy fleece, woven canvas, and varying densities of mesh.
The most tasteful of the pack is the “Sequoia” green pair, however the true CPFM heads will no doubt be drawn to the extra-loud, mismatched “Gold” and “Blue” colourways.
Retailing at $150 USD, the CPFM x Nike Dunk Low “Swamp Sponge” pack is currently listed as “coming soon” on the CPFM website.
Expect the release to take place imminently.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE - 04/08/2025:
Lil Yachty is proving to be one of the more prolific sneaker leakers of the modern landscape…
Already responsible for being the first to reveal the recent Levi’s x Nike Air Max 95 collection to the world, the artist has now shared an early glimpse at the long-awaited return of CPFM-fixed Nike Dunks.
A follow-up to Cactus Plant Flea Market’s elusive Swarovski Dunk Low from 2020, this time Cynthia Lu’s brand is readying a new attempt at making one of the most wearable sneakers (slightly) less wearable with the all-new “Swamp Sponge” pack.
Imagery shared by Yachty confirms rumours that CPFM has put Nike’s Dunk under the knife once again — this time using thick, sponge-like panelling and mishmashed upper textures, including suede, faux fur, and chenille — all fitting contributors to the Dunk’s swampy new identity.
Slated for release in Fall 2025, the CPFM x Nike Dunk Low “Swamp Sponge” collection introduces three colourways: “Sequoia”, “Photo Blue” and “Psychic Purple”.
If previous Nike x CPFM outings are any indication, an equally outlandish range of apparel is likely to accompany the Swamp Sponge Dunks when they release at some point in the coming months.
