Earlier today, Balmain announced its follow up collaboration with water peddlers Evian, taking everyone by surprise once again after already teaming up late last year to combine both brands’ iconography over a bottle of mineral water.
At face value, slapping Evian’s mountainous logo over Balmain-manufactured wardrobe staples may seem lazy but behind the facade of played out signalling lies a positive message that champions sustainability.
According to Balmain, the collection “relies on a wide variety of eco-friendly practices, materials and innovations.”

Using ethically-certified textiles was a must for Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, who aims to “to test and perfect new techniques in sourcing, recycling and upcycling to further product sustainably.”
The collection covers hoodies, sports bras, jackets, jeans and a duo of bags. Everything is crafted from sustainable materials, complete with an amalgamation of Evian and Balmain’s insignias front and centre across the various articles, which range in price from $325 for a bucket hat to a $4,050 bomber jacket.

The cheapest item in the collection comes in at $70, which in Balmain x Evian’s world, can buy you a daily water bottle.
