Aimé Leon Dore is building on the momentum gained from its buzz-worthy Fall Winter 25 collection, already releasing the second instalment this week, highlighted by a few key pieces befitting the seasonal focus of textures, layering, and understated class.
The second drop from ALD’s FW25 collection arrives sooner compared to previous seasons, showing clear intention from Teddy Santis and team to capitalise on the hype accrued from another bar-setting lookbook and the announcement of a looming collaboration with The North Face.
Still in the early throes of Fall, the pieces featured in drop two showcase Aimé Leon Dore’s ability to pull from various eras in the menswear cycle — reinstating a curated selection of perennials in cohesive colours, spanning outerwear, fleeces, knits, and a masterfully executed interpretation of the traditional hiking shoe.
There’s a healthy balance of both purism and progressiveness, where pieces like the Leather Flight and blanket-lined Denim Barn Jackets juxtapose against Drop Needle Afterhoods and Wool-Fleece Pullovers.
Rich shades of corduroy play a starring role in the capsule, appearing in a velvety texture on Overshirts and Pleated Trousers, alongside a new iteration of Aimé Leon Dore’s popular Unisphere Cap that instead favours a tighter wale, presented in “Navy Blazer”, “Rosin”, “Rust”, and “Twill”.
Hockey Jerseys designed to suit the luxury appeal of the wider collection arise courtesy of a low-key collaboration with Mitchell & Ness, joined by three big ticket items: the ornamental Wooden Basketball and Diamond Mosaic Ring & Pendant; the latter of which are handmade in New York from 14k gold and encrusted with lab-grown diamonds, respectively coming in at $2,250 & $1,250 USD.
The pièce de résistance(s) of ALD’s latest release are the trio of handcrafted, Italian Derby Hiking Shoes, which pair outdoor-minded, stitched panelling with a workwear-inspired lace-to-toe construction; presented in black leather, and “poinciana” or “rosin/ vetiver” oiled suede, finished with matte toecaps that, akin to the overall build, employ ethically-sourced calfskin leather.
The shoes are finished with vibrant jacquard lacing, gold foil branding on the insole, and Aimé Leon Dore’s Queen’s Crest stamped at the heel.
The latest instalment from Aimé Leon Dore’s FW25 collection is available to shop now via the brand’s website and physical locations in London and NYC.
